What’s in the box?
Take a peek at some of the photos from our workshop with artist and photographer Annie Collinge in July! Bringing a love of creating surreal scenes and characters from her imagination, Annie invited the participants to create miniature worlds inside boxes - with the only stipulation being that either their face, hand, or even foot was a central character in the world.
Held at Picnic’s HQ in St Leonards on Sea, it was a delight to see what the children came up with - from recreations of rooms at homes, to underwater scenes and even a jungle, Annie’s workshop was a riot of surreal creativity.
Once the boxes were finished, participants had the chance to be photographed or filmed with them however they like.
